A well-respected manufacturing company and leader in the food packaging world is looking for a Principal Engineer. This is a very targeted, critical, and new role for the organization and therefore requires a specific base of experience.

With a focus on the plastics part of the business, the senior level, corporate-based Engineering Leader will lead the technical direction of the division and work alongside the many manufacturing plants to assist in solving the most complex and challenging problems.  Additionally, this position will own the multi-year strategic plan in plastics, including technically vetting CapEx projects, optimizing existing plant processes, owning the technology of the future, and coaching/training the broader engineering organization on best-in-class plastics manufacturing procedures/standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required
• Significant experience in a variety of plastics processing is required: thin gauge thermoforming, cast film extrusion, injection molding, and more
• Must have demonstrated results in driving innovative solutions, leading capital projects, have critical and strategic thinking and decision making, and more

As it is a corporate role and reports into a Director of Engineering, the role is onsite/hybrid and will involve travel to a variety of plant locations.  With a great leadership team, a strong compensation plan, and an amazing relocation package, this is definitely worth exploring!
