National Ugly Sweater Day!

National Ugly Sweater Day is celebrated the third Friday in December, making it December 20th this year. It’s all about honoring those things that are so ugly that everyone loves them!

The English language doesn’t have a special word for something that’s both ugly and cherished, but other languages do! In Japanese, it’s known as ‘busakawa‘. In French, it’s ‘jolie laide‘. The idea is that somethings are so ugly that they’re beautiful!!” (from DaysoftheYear)

So, go ahead & pull out your most garish knitwear – from a brand new one to a do-it-yourself crafter to a second-hand hidden gem – and wear your Ugly Christmas Sweater with joy!

🌟Shout-out to our graphic designer/photographer daughter, and her magical touch with our pup, Georgia Ruth!!🌟
