Friday Fun: Celebrating Crossword Puzzles

According to nationaltoday.com, crossword puzzles originated in England in the 19th century. This puzzle game was originally called “word-cross”, but a typo on its first publication changed the familiar name we know and love today.

Arthur Wynne is usually credited with the discovery of the game. But the earliest form of the game did not have black squares. They were also played on a diamond-shaped grid. The game has received massive popularity.” Care to try the first-ever crossword puzzle? Click HERE to solve it! (Yes, there is a solution available on the page too. 😊)
