Earth Day: April 22nd

For the past 50 years, Earth Day has been celebrated by billions of people around the globe, annually every April 22, who join together to make a positive impact on our planet. Below, we’ve provided you with some FAST FACTS about Earth Day, according nationaltoday.com (our โ€˜go-toโ€™ site for all things celebratory!)

๐ŸŒEarth Day was first held in 1970 and provides a voice to ongoing and emerging environmental concerns.

๐ŸŒThe first Earth Day inspired 20 million Americans to rally together to increase public awareness of the devastating impacts of industrial development.

๐ŸŒŽBecause of these national rallies, the United States Environmental Protection Agency was formed and the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts were enacted.

๐ŸŒWhile some people view Earth Day as just another reason to wear green and a flower crown, billions of global citizens are adapting to more environmentally friendly ways of living — all in support of our planet. Such global events encourage us to work together in unity to achieve a better future for everyone!

๐ŸŒEarth Day is a collective and continual effort. Every industry should create, follow, and maintain sustainable initiatives every day.
