SUSTAINABILITY/OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE

A transformational Chief Sustainability Officer/COO/SVP of Operations Executive with over 20 years’ experience in engineering leadership, operations leadership, operations excellence leadership, and sustainability leadership – bringing all of them together in one unified approach! 

• Talents: Sustainability is his passion! He brings that together via business optimization and continuous improvement implementations. He knows energy usage (electric, heating, compressed air, steam) very well and importantly, how to connect energy consumption to process transformation to generate amazing ROI. He is strategic, knows how to align operations and reliability… all to generate results. 
• Results: In his most recent role, he has the team on track to achieve aggressive long term (2030 all the way through 2050) initiatives and goals – both in environmental and capital plans and objectives. Prior to that, he was instrumental in developing a 5-year strategic plan that delivered 6% EBITDA improvements, 40% OEE improvements (delivering $40M in EBITDA alone), and millions more in savings through operational excellence efforts targeting maintenance and engineering. 
• Experiences: Starting out as a Process Engineer and working up through and to a CSO role, he brings vast experience across a variety of industries, including his first 10 years with a Fortune 100 organization. From there, he shifted into packaging products and into food products with full operations responsibility and accountability for PMO and strategy for two different companies. 
• Culture & Leadership Style: He is grounded and truly enjoys the operations and engineering aspects of his career, working to combine them under one sustainability umbrella through cross-functional alignment and high levels of broad communication. He is practical and leverages many LSS tools to inform and drive business decisions and create strategic goals. 
• Accountabilities: Global accountability for all PMO, capital expenditures, EHS, operational excellence, and overall strategic development and execution.   
• Next Role: He is seeking an SVP, CSO, or COO role with a growing organization in need of leveraging his unique combination of engineering and operations experience and joining it into one strategic sustainability effort. He is willing to relocate (preferring eastern seaboard) and is open to an international assignment as well.
